We understand that the students differ in their individual learning styles and each student may have a combination of multiple intelligences. So our instructional strategies are student-centred and will include active learning, experience-based learning, cooperative and participative learning activities, inquiry. Such a learning environment encourages the students to enjoy lessons, try out new things and to think creatively and independently.
The Adhyayan Academy lays emphasis on English language skills, Mathematics and also activities that reach beyond academics. A student graduating from The Adhyayan Academy will have an all-round development with a cultivated capacity to communicate. They will also have the ability to interconnect different situations, which we believe is necessary if one is to become a leader.
Educationists at The Adhyayan Academy are greatly influenced by Howard Gardner, the acclaimed educational psychologist who is known for his theory on ‘Multiple Intelligences’. Gardner’s work, Five Minds for the Future outlines the specific cognitive abilities that will be sought and cultivated by leaders in the years ahead: the disciplined mind, the synthesizing mind, the creating mind, the respectful mind, and the ethical mind.
We believe that those five minds are equally important for every one of the future generation, not only for leaders. Hence we shall focus on integration of knowledge, development of critical thinking, problem solving, performance skills and cultivation of desirable behaviour to all those coming into our fold.
